As a dancer in my morse all male team i was able to find a nack for dance. Being that i am christian and believe what i believe, i understand that having this gift must be used for the Glory of God.
The youth leaders proposed that the youth would do a dance as a special number for the Church's anniversary. Why a dance? because everyone ALWAYS does a song and sings and it gets boring and common. When the youth went out to meet at the rag's pad, we had a meeting and talked about the time that it would take and most importantly what kind of dance we should do. In the end, i decided to take the initiative and actually start choreographing dances. Please note: i have never choreographed before. -_-
Everyone agreed and i was put into a high position cause i was the one that knew the dances and how to teach besides adrian nievera who had more dance experience but considering he just wanted to be in the dance, i used him to be an example for those with lesser experience. Time flew and most of the practices were outside my house, it was really cool i dont kn ow if it was fun considering the time that we had, and the amount we had to learn. I went from random/funny Adrian to serious/business adrian. haha ask anyone
During a sermon i was skipping through the bible and in romans there was a this title called doxology. I immediately bookmarked it and decided to look at it later after service. Doxology, wow that sounds really cool haha. I looked it up on wikipedia and dictionary.com and found this:
I thought this really cool, as if God revealed it to me. Like foreal its crazy!
Every practice we would hang a little while waiting for eveyone to come, then we would ALWAYS start with a prayer which i LOVE so much. Digressing... in my all male dance team at school before a big performance we would pray, but all i hear them pray about is how to make us not nervous and how to not mes up and the dances are all vulgar and not for God. So i felt wrong while praying with them. I guess this is how people see praying, they use God in hard times and ask for help that is irrelevant. -_- sad.. but in doxology its always for God! Jesus Music only! And i love how we are opening a vessel of dance for the youth to get involved in! :)
Right now we are going to do another Doxology medley dance combined with mira mesa, it will be hard because its more people and its for a different place, and this time: were not in vacaTION. :( But we praise God cause we know that by positioning ourselves for miracles, souls can be saved :D
